Literature & Research Sources
How we find and select studies cited on each product page.

We search PubMed/MEDLINE and Google Scholar for peer-reviewed research. Preprints and conference abstracts are used only when no peer-reviewed equivalent exists, and are explicitly labeled as such.

Every cited study includes a PubMed ID (PMID) or DOI so readers can verify the source independently. We do not cite vendor white papers, forum posts, or anecdotal reports as evidence.

When literature is limited, we say so clearly. Absence of strong evidence is stated directly rather than papered over with weaker sources.
Evidence Classification
We apply a consistent hierarchy to all research. The type of evidence behind any claim is always disclosed.
Randomized controlled trials in human subjects. The strongest form of clinical evidence. Rare for research peptides.
Non-randomized human studies, case series, or retrospective analyses. Meaningful, but subject to confounding.
Rodent or other in vivo animal studies. Commonly the primary evidence base for research peptides. Noted as such, never presented as human evidence.
Cell or tissue culture studies. Mechanistic insight only. Does not predict in vivo efficacy or safety in humans.
Where multiple evidence types exist for a compound, all are discussed. Upgrades in evidence quality (e.g., when a human trial has been published) are reflected in the next content update cycle.
Vendor Directory
How vendors are found, listed, and flagged.

Vendors are identified through manual research: community forums, search engine results, and known research chemical supplier directories. We aim to cover the full market, not a curated subset.

Each vendor listing is verified against a live product page before publication. Vendors whose websites are down or whose product pages cannot be confirmed are flagged accordingly.

Vendors with credible and repeated scam reports from the research community are removed from pricing tables entirely. Their removal is documented in a data note on the relevant page.

No vendor pays for placement. There are no sponsored listings, affiliate links, or referral relationships. Listing order is by price per milligram, ascending. Nothing else.
Vendor Table Flags
Sale price. The vendor was running a promotion at time of data collection. The regular price is noted in parentheses wherever available.
Unverified or converted. Used in two contexts: (1) the vendor's product page could not be fully confirmed at time of listing due to a Cloudflare block or age gate; (2) the price has been converted from a foreign currency (typically EUR at the stated rate) and is approximate.
Age-gated. The vendor's site requires age verification before product pricing is visible.
Amber row. Product is listed as out of stock, on pre-order, or otherwise not immediately available at time of data collection.
Pricing Data
How prices are collected, calculated, and presented.

All prices are in USD. EUR-denominated vendors are converted at the exchange rate stated in the page's data notes. Converted prices are marked with †.

Price per milligram ($/mg) is calculated from the standard unit price ÷ vial or kit quantity. This allows direct comparison across different package sizes. We use the lowest available regular price for the $/mg column, not bundle prices or coupons.

Prices are collected manually and are not live or real-time. Peptide prices fluctuate frequently. Always verify current pricing directly on the vendor's website before making any purchasing decisions.
What We Don't Do
Clear limits on what Peptide Commons is and is not.
We do not advise on dosing, protocols, or suitability for any individual. Nothing here is a treatment recommendation.
Listing a vendor is not a recommendation. We list vendors for informational completeness only.
